Share an Excel or Google Sheets screenshot without the numbers

A spreadsheet screenshot is nothing but sensitive text: names down a column, amounts across a row, an email in a header. VaultSnip masks the names and IDs and replaces every number with an invented value of the same size, so the table still reads as a table and nobody learns the real figures.

Free and open source. Everything runs in this browser tab: no account, no upload, nothing stored. What stays on your device (everything).

When this helps

  • Asking a forum about a formula without pasting the salary table it sits on
  • Showing a model's layout to a client or a candidate
  • Bug reports to IT with the real data hidden
  • Teaching material made from a live workbook

Tip: zoom the sheet to 100% or more before you snip. Tiny cell text is the hardest to read and the easiest to miss.

1. PasteTake a screenshot, open VaultSnip, press Ctrl+V. Or drop a PNG, JPG, WebP or PDF.
2. LookMasks appear in seconds; the deeper checks run on and only add masks. Click any box to keep it, drag to add one, blur a chart if its shape is the secret.
3. CopyCopy the masked image into a chat, a ticket or a slide, or make a replica with made-up values in place.

Measured, not promised. On the published test set about 0.25% of the area of sensitive text stayed readable after masking and the check, so take a last look before you share. How it is measured · Also for Power BI, Tableau and Excel screenshots.
